Eligibility & Requirements
To be eligible for the MBBS program at UG, you must meet the following criteria:
Age: You must be at least 17 years old on or before the 31st of December of the admission year.
Academic Qualification: Completion of 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects from a recognised board.
Minimum Marks: At least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) aggregate for the general category, and 40% marks for reserved category students.
Entrance Exam: NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) qualification is mandatory for all Indian applicants, with a minimum NEET score of 137 marks (general category) and 107 marks (SC/ST/OBC). NEET serves as a threshold requirement, not a ranking tool.
Curriculum & Structure
The 6-year program is structured to provide a strong foundation in medical sciences, followed by intensive clinical training:
First 2 Years (Pre-Clinical): Focus on theoretical subjects including Human Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Histology, Microbiology, and Georgian language for clinical communication.
Third Year (Para-Clinical): Introduction to Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Medical Genetics, and Clinical Skills.
Fourth–Fifth Years (Clinical): Clinical rotations in major departments such as Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Community Medicine at the 500‑bed university hospital and partner clinics.
Sixth Year (Clinical Internship): A supervised 48‑week clinical internship, followed by a State Final Examination (OSCE & viva).
